Who we are
Skillshed (skillshed.net) is run by Joseph Riley, a sole trader based in Hampshire, United Kingdom, trading as Skillshed. You can reach us at hello@skillshed.net.
These terms apply whenever you buy a course from us. By placing an order you agree to them, so please read them first.
What you're buying
Each Skillshed course is digital content: a downloadable PDF made up of four modules. Courses are not supplied on any physical medium and nothing is posted to you.
Course pages describe what each course covers. Some courses refer to third-party tools such as Meta, Google, Zapier or ChatGPT. We're not affiliated with any of them, and their features, prices and settings can change after a course is written.
Prices and payment
- All prices are in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
- Single courses are £4.99. Bundle prices apply automatically when you buy several courses in one order, and the total is shown in your basket before you pay.
- Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- If a price on the site is wrong because of an obvious error, we'll contact you before your order goes through, and you can choose to continue or cancel.
Delivery
Your courses are available to download immediately after payment, on your order page. Please save your files. The order page link keeps working, and if you ever lose it, email us with the address you paid with and we'll send it again.
Your right to cancel
Under UK consumer law you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. For digital content, that right ends once the download is made available to you, as long as you've agreed to immediate access and acknowledged that you lose the right to cancel.
When you complete checkout, you ask us to make your courses available straight away and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day cancellation right once they're available. This doesn't affect your rights if a course is faulty or not as described. See our refund policy for exactly what we'll refund.
How you can use the courses
When you buy a course you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it. That means you can:
- keep it forever and use it as often as you like;
- use it to run and grow your own business;
- share it with staff inside your own business, to train your team.
You can't resell it, publish it, upload it anywhere public, share it outside your business, or pass it off as your own work. The courses and everything in them remain our copyright.
No guaranteed results
The courses are practical, general guidance. How well something works for you depends on your business, market, budget and how you apply it, so we can't promise particular results such as leads, sales or rankings.
The courses aren't legal, tax, financial or other professional advice. Take proper advice for your own situation where it matters.
Our responsibility to you
If a course is faulty or not as described, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and nothing in these terms takes those away.
Otherwise, we're not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profits or ad spend, arising from using the courses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the price you paid for it. We don't exclude liability where the law doesn't allow it, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes and the law
We may update these terms from time to time. The version on the site when you place an order is the one that applies to that order.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your home part of the UK.
